Baggage delay
Reimburses essentials like toiletries and clothes when your checked bag shows up late.
What it is
Baggage delay coverage pays for essential purchases while your bags are delayed, usually after a set number of hours (6 on the cards that list it) and up to a daily amount for a set number of days.
What to check
- Trigger: hours of delay.
- Daily cap and days: for example $100 a day for 3 or 5 days.
- Receipts: keep them, plus the airline’s delayed-bag report.
These are general descriptions. The exact terms on your card are in its Guide to Benefits. Not insurance advice.
